Carry-in: Initial diagnosis is $35. No other charges apply if repair is not
feasible, and this fee counts toward the first half-hour of labor if your
computer is repaired here. Work beyond initial diagnosis is $60 per hour plus
any parts or software needed to complete the job. Parts and software are subject
to 6% Kentucky sales tax.
On-site: Some things like setting up a wireless network require on-site service.
My rate is $95 per hour with a one hour minimum plus parts and software if
needed. Parts and software are subject to 6% sales tax in Kentucky. The entire
bill will be subject to applicable local sales tax in Ohio.
Pick up and return: If it is not possible to bring your computer to me, I charge
$95 to pick up a system from you and return it when finished. Additional charges
beyond this service call fee include $60 for each hour of in-shop labor, plus

NOTE: Laptop repairs other than software work and upgrades, such as
any involving the motherboard or screen, will require shipment back to the
manufacturer or to a shop specializing in component level repair. A $100 deposit
toward such service is required in advance. If this turns out to what you need
after initial diagnosis, I will let you know at once.
In all cases, Special order parts will require a non-refundable deposit based upon their cost.
